EXPLORE Pediatric Therapy

Explore has been an incredible resource for my son. We first learned about it through his therapist, who mentioned a local, OT-based outdoor group focused on helping kids with grounding, behavior, confidence, and social skills through nature-based activities. We signed up right away and it exceeded every expectation. Being outdoors made such a difference for him. In that setting, he became more confident, curious, and willing to try new things. Having this kind of support has been truly invaluable for our family. He attended both the Adventure Camp and Summer Camp, and both experiences were amazing. He genuinely looked forward to going and even joked that he wished he could choose camp over school every day! The OTs are exceptional, and the owner is truly one of a kind. She deeply care

My son has been with some aspect of Explore Pediatric for three years, and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kim and all the Explore staff. After graduating from the wonderful nature based OT groups, my son has thrived in the forest adventure group. I love that he has a set dedicated time each week to PLAY in the woods with friends, and have the opportunity to work out disagreements amongst themselves. We’ll definitely look forward to another year of forest adventure group next year! It’s so much more valuable for his development that another sports lesson where an adult is telling him what to do, and he’s able to develop critical social development skills.

My son had a great experience doing the outdoor camp. We were nervous as he is on the spectrum and prefers being inside on the tablet. He thrived and loved going to camp! We'll definitely be back next year!

Our son participates in the weekly outdoor camps and attended a week of the summer camp as well. I can't express enough how much he loves going to Explore each week! He's grown so much in his confidence and his regulation skills from working with the team. From climbing trees to quiet time with the therapy dogs, he learns new skills all while having fun outdoors. Kim has been invaluable in guiding us through a home program as well. Can't recommend enough!

My son has been attending one of EXPLORE’s Nature Adventure Groups, and I can’t say enough good things about it! He’s always loved nature, and this group has been the perfect way for him to channel that interest while spending time outdoors with friends in a relaxed setting. Between the busy-ness of school and sports, this is just the kind of unstructured play my son needs. Beyond just the fun of climbing, exploring, and getting muddy, I’ve noticed real growth in his ability to manage frustration, collaborate with others and problem solve —skills that carry over into everyday life.
