Excelsior Healthcare Primary & Urgent Care – Buford

My initial visit was amazing ! The facility is warm and welcoming. The staff is helpful and professional. And Akua Aninkorah, FNP—C ? An incredibly thorough and knowledgeable famiky nurse practitioner who takes the time to truly listen and explain every detail with care. Her bedside manner is impeccable—warm, patient, and proficient. You leave feeling respected, understood, and confident in her expertise. I’m looking forward to continuing care.

We visited this urgent care clinic when our child was sick. Before our visit, we submitted our insurance information. However, upon arrival, we were informed that we could not see a doctor unless we change our primary care provider to one within their network—a requirement that was never disclosed beforehand. Had they informed us of this policy over the phone prior to our visit, we would not have brought our ill child here, resulting in a frustrating waste of time and unnecessary stress. I strongly advise others to verify all insurance and provider requirements thoroughly before visiting to avoid similar experiences.

Coming from NE GA Medical Group, this visit was completely different. For once I felt listened to! Walking in the door, check in, vitals, exam and bloodwork all went smoothly, everyone was kind, felt very comfortable. Kelcie Miller was AWESOME. Eye contact, listened to everything I said, notes were available from vitals… I didn’t have to repeat anything from person to person. I finally found a medical center that cares about the person, not a number!

Just taking a moment to thank Dr. Kelcie Miller for everything she does. I've seen god knows how many doctors, specialists, and whatnot in my lifetime, but Dr. Miller always leaves a lasting impression of what professionalism, caring, and treatment would be at its highest form. She really is the best of the best that explains, listens, and truly genuinely answers any questions you have. She is absolutely amazing. Thank you!

I had a terrible experience at this place. The office staff are HIGHLY unprofessional and the whole place is chaotic and unorganized. I had an appointment first thing in the morning and I did not see the doctor until after 45 minutes of waiting. They also have you write out all your personal information on a sheet of paper in the waiting room and leave it on the front desk for every patient to see everyone’s name address and phone number which feels like a huge confidentiality risk. They were also discussing my insurance information from across the room for others to hear. When I finally got in to see the doctor (who I specifically requested) because I was hoping a young female doctor would be more understanding. Boy was I wrong.
