Emory Hospital Perry

Dr Simelton is rude and condescending. My mother hit her head falling out of her wheelchair and he talked to me like I was a child when I asked him if she had a concussion because I needed to know if I needed to keep her awake or not. Because you know, the patient not dying is KIND OF IMPORTANT or so I thought. She had a giant welt on her head. No ice to reduce swelling. Left covered in blood for hours. The woman next to her is begging for help and being ignored and the nurse is rude to her when she does talk to her. They're making fun of her. I have recordings. Never come to this hospital.

I went in to the “same day” side of the hospital this morning to get a lab done to find out if I’m having a miscarriage or not. SAME DAY RESULT LABS. 10 hours later, all of that area of the hospital seems to be closed now per Google. My doctor has yet to be sent the results, they’re not in my patient portal, and no one answers the phones. Two positives, I didn’t have to wait long and the technician did a good job drawing the blood (didn’t hurt).

My 80+ year old sister was taken to the Perry ER by ambulance on 1/23/26. She arrived at 10am it’s now 4:30pm and she is still waiting for the doctor to read her X-rays . We were told it would be about half an hour to get the results . This is the worse hospital I have ever visited. There are plenty of staff but no doctors to see the patients in a timely manner. No one should have to wait this long to be given information about a love one.

Daughter is here with possible ACL tear or maybe broken leg. In ER and this is like a regular doctor's office. No urgency. No triage. No one was even at the counter to check us in. Maybe if we came in an ambulance? I don't know. Should be treating patients based on injuries and pain, not when they signed in. Absolutely ridiculous. Appears to have one doctor. IN THE ER. Ive already watched one family walk out. Very disappointing. Say it with me. TRIAGE

Went in for out patient surgery, simple procedure. While the wait was a little longer than I was hoping for, the staff at the hospital were extremely courteous, respectful, and patient with me and worked to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed while I was there. Would elect to come back here again if I needed a similar procedure done again.
