Elk Haven Nursing Home

They did wonderful caring for my stepmom after knee surgery. She said she learned more ADL skills from them than evem the Hospital rehab she was in. The staff were caring and compassionate. Therapists knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone fro Administration to housekeeping were warm and inviting. Highly recommend.

I wouldn't put a family member in this facility because they don't treat their employees well, so that being said...how will they treat your family member? Being voted best nursing home in Elk County is just a tag they place on their facility. Who voted? No one knows. The nurses here have big head because of the claim that they are the best. Send your loved one to Pinecrest folks.

So I put a one star because there is no option for zero stars ! My experience today registering my mother was not good! A patient escaped the property, several employees didn’t realize she was gone for at least 10 to 15 mins. she was wondering the hospital grounds. They didn’t even know what she looked like! So I saw her and took them to her when realizing the nurses that where looking for her gave up and went back. She is now safe hopefully. But will not be using this facility period. I highly suggest locked doors and more staff!

Went to visit my great aunt. Place is very nice but the music piped throughout the place was absolutely terrible. We visited in the evening and they were loudly playing 80s rock music. Seriously? What elderly person wants to hear that as they are relaxing for the evening? Poor choice for sure. It was very agitating just listening to it as we were visiting.

The Aides and staff were so friendly and helpful. While I was there, I observed them treating the residents with humor, respect, and friendliness. They seemed happy to be doing what they were doing.
