Elderwood Village at Colonie

My Mom has been a resident of the Memory Garden of Elderwood Village at Colonie for about 18 months. She has received excellent care there, and the staff has always been kind, she always says the food is good, and the facility is very clean. The Director is very competent, involved and responsive. Mom is as happy there as anyone can be when they are faced with no longer being able to live alone. I am thankful for their daily efforts.

I would not recommend this facility even to my worst enemy. My mother was there and experiencing a stroke. Nedra the so called nurse waited 4 hrs to call an ambulance. She never fully recovered from that stroke. We then moved her to a wonderful facility in Guilderland. Please do not send a loved one to Elderwood in Latham

My aunt has and continues to get wonderful care. I love how they all treat the family members of their residents like part of their community. I know how challenging it can be working with the elderly and I feel the staff go over and beyond. It's a calling that they are answering. All assisted livings and nursing homes have their challenges. Please be grateful and show gratitude for their caring for your loved ones. Happy Easter-season to all! Eileen And Mike G.

My mom has been at the Elderwood for just about a year and we are continuously impressed with the variety and number of activities, the caring, friendly environment and staff, and the cleanliness. We are so grateful to the staff and administration for all they do for the residents. Thank you!

My mom is a resident here in the memory care unit of Elderwood and I could not ask for a better place for her. The staff are incredibly loving and caring. I highly recommend Elderwood Village
