Elderwood of Scallop Shell at Wakefield

My father has been a resident at Elderwood of Scallop Shell for almost a year and my family and I couldn't be happier with the care he is receiving. The staff is friendly and willing to help, no matter what comes up. His care team keeps us informed and does everything they can to keep him happy and comfortable. The nurses and CNAs are amazing! The staff is consistent (we've gotten to know many of them), knowledgeable, and really cares for the residents. The facility is clean and welcoming, both in the communal spaces and individual rooms. They offer a lot of activities that are engaging and fun. I visit my dad regularly, usually multiple times a week, so I know what's going on. My dad is in here for rehab after a fall and the teamwork and care here is strong and thorough. Each care worker from the docs to the cleaners to the nurses to the cafeteria staff are kind and helpful. PT is very helpful and skilled. We are really pleased with our experience.

My dad has had great service when he arrived and while he was there for his short stay for therapy. The staff and nurses were very helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend if you have a family member that is in need of a skilled nursing facility this would be the place.

I see many great reviews. Just a point of information. The facility has had no bread for the last two days,"waiting for delivery". I think that is unexcusable. I have been told that sandwiches were available 24 /7. My spouse asked for a sandwich (grilled cheese). tonight,"sorry no bread". What else is being overlooked?

Medical , nursing and therapy staff all top professionals and caring. Immediately caught a major misdiagnosis by hospital and remedied it. 87 year old sister has all positive things to say. Admin and finance staff accessible and helpful.
