ECPC Apex Interventional Pain and Spine

Yesterday was my initial appointment. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Jose G. Avila-Calles spent a great deal of time asking questions and evaluating the cause of my pain. He explained the treatment he thought would help alleviate it, with the goal of returning to a normal life. My son and I were impressed by Dr. Avila-Calles. I feel fortunate that my rheumatologist referred me to him.

Dr. Jose Avila-Calles truly saved my life. I came into my appointment today at ECPC Apex Interventional Pain and Spine feeling very unwell, and he immediately recognized that something was not right. He identified irregular heartbeats/AFib and acted without hesitation by sending me straight to the ER. What stood out most was how calm and reassuring he was. He didn’t panic me, he guided me, and the staff was also very helpful and supportive during a scary moment. I am grateful to God that I even had that appointment today, because it got me urgent care when I needed it most. Thank you, Dr. Jose, for your attentiveness, professionalism, and compassion. To God be all the glory for my LIFE, HEALTH, and STRENGTH! \○/ Dr. Jose is truly a guardian angel.

I have been seeing Dr. Avila for several months now and it took 28 years but I finally found the BEST pain management doctor ever!! Dr. Avila is so kind and genuinely caring it’s amazing. He’s empathetic and he really listens when you speak. I’ve been living with chronic pain and depression due to the pain for 28 years. I’ve been to doctors from NY to Florida and had more injections than I can count. None of them helped. I had my first neck injection with Dr. Avila and he explained everything as he went along. It took about ten minutes and when I sat up on the table afterwards I couldn’t believe it but all of the agonizing pain was gone!!! I could turn my head to the left which I hadn’t been able to do in almost a year. The plan was to see if the relief lasted for a few days or two weeks

The staff and facilities at ECPC are great! Dr. Keogh is super nice and his high level of expertise in pain management is unmatched. I get epidural steroid shots for my right side S1 nerve, and Dr. Keogh explains what he's doing as the short procedure is happening. I highly recommend ECPC and really like that I can get my injections in Apex or in Holly Springs.

I saw Dr. Jose Calles for neck pain. He was absolutely amazing! I’ve never had a doctor to sit with me and actually listen and show empathy and compassion as he did. Dr. Calles spent a lot of time with me; I didn’t feel rushed at all and I felt very comfortable asking questions. Dr. Calles even worked me into his schedule to come back as soon as possible for a procedure. The staff in the office were just as wonderful, with smiles on their faces, very cheerful and super friendly.
