⚠️ HIPAA Violation & Unprofessional Conduct – Eckerds Pharmacy Bradenton (9/19/2025) On Sept 19, 2025, pharmacist Frederick Allewert at Eckerds Pharmacy in Bradenton violated my medication privacy, argued with me about a legal, prescribed medication, and initially refused to fill it without explanation. After management review, it was filled, but I was then denied delivery service I’ve used since Nov 2024. When I asked for a written explanation or policy change notice, I was told out loud to “go to another pharmacy.” It’s on video where the pharmacy tech said , “You drove by so many other pharmacies why did you choose to come here ?” This is a HIPAA violation, refusal of service, and unprofessional behavior. Love my pharmacy. The staff are all polite, caring and they always make my visits welcomed. The pharmacists always make sure my meds are all correct and filled on time, I love the part where they will deliver my meds if I am unable to pick them up. Every Pharmacy should hire staff that treat their customers with respect. My pharmacy is better than yours.

For my people who get ADHD meds : read this review … every 2 months there seems to be an issue with shipping this medication and it’s never consistent.. every month I pay the extra $15 to avoid driving an hour so I call every month on a Thursday morning and receive my medication Friday afternoon .. but this month it went to Orlando and I live in Tampa and then the last notice was it’s back in Tampa. So now I won’t get my meds till Monday when I was due for a refill Thursday.. This location is stressful and life is already stressful enough ! Do a different pharmacy location don’t do this location if you are on ADHD meds … good luck

At 74, I have dealt with way too many pharmacies and Eckerds is by far the best I have ever dealt with. The pharmacist(s) and staff have us the customer in mind. Numerous times I have walked in with a script and walked out 5 minutes later with my prescription!! Always smiling and ready to meet your needs. They also do prescription compounding is a another advantage. The “Cheers” of pharmacies. They even know my name (that isn’t good meaning I have to take way too many pills!). Can’t say enough good about this pharmacy!

The best independent pharmacy I have seen so far. Jordan is the best! She is always helpful and very polite. I had transferred prescriptions from a large chain pharmacy, which the consistency and service was subpar, I couldnt be happier. Not only am I paying less but its nice to have a friendly face greeting me. Excellent job Jordan and the Eckerds staff, you guys are awesome.
