Eastland Nursing & Rehabilitation

My Dad has been at Valley View nursing home of over 8 years. He just celebrated his 92nd birthday. Administrations and stuff members have come and gone....some bad but most good. The building is old but in decent shape. They moved him out of a room once because of floor and window problems. Overall Dad has been extremely happy here. Everyone knows him by name and makes him feel important. When he lost both of his legs, they accommodated him with a lift to help get him in and out of bed instead of leaving him in bed all day. I think what has made my dad's stay here so positive is the fact that he is a very positive person and he is a lover of life. I would love to give it 5 stars but the building is old but they do the best they can.

My father was here and was not bathed for over a week when he was first admitted. Staff said he was, but we had pictures to prove otherwise. If you love your family member, look for another facility. I personally do not recommend this place.
