Eastern Shore Rural Health Express Care

Got there at noon when they opened. The wait was short, Doctor Stiles was excellent and thorough. My latest blood work was from another state and not in their system and she needed to know kidney function for proper dosing before prescribing medicine. I brought up my out of state medical chart on my phone and after checking my last lab results right on my phone, she was able to immediately prescribe an RX. (I dont like modern technology but sometimes it is a good thing!) She went so far as to tell me the pharmacy that would fill it fastest and contacted them to verify they had it in stock. Someone from the facility called me the next day to see how I was doing. It was a totally positive experience from start to finish. Keep up the good work!

Antibiotics for my son were not the correct dose for strep throat. He was seen by an ER physician a few days after being on antibiotics (for renewed fever, chills, and body aches) that said he was supposed to be getting 14.6 ml twice a day when rural health urgent care prescribed 12.3 ml once a day.

This is a busy urgent care seeing many patients. While the wait can be 1+ hours, I am always pleased with the care I recieve. My perscription was sent right over to the pharmacy. FYI - any Rural Health location accepts walk-ins (non-emergency situations), and I have heard that can save time vs. visiting the Urgent Care location.

I actually came here to post a good review as before I went to the express care I saw all the negative reviews and had a somewhat positive experience. I was seen within an hour and received medication that helped with my problem. However, after reading her notes that is no longer the case. She stated that I was in an obese woman (I’m actually overweight according to BMI), with an extensive medical history and taking many many prescriptions. If she had bothered to ask, I could’ve told her half the medication‘s listed in my chart I no longer take (they were for past illnesses) as for an extensive medical history I see my doctor twice a year and occasionally when I’m sick. I was seen in the doctor’s office four times in 2024 one of those for a blood pressure recheck. I do not see how that’s a
