East Texas Children's Therapy Services

My son was referred here and it took months for them to get us in. He had one session and was cleared. Our daughter went and they recommended speech therapy. I called 1.5 weeks later to see when we were to get started and they had just got all the info to whomever it goes to...for review. Never heard back from their office and I called a month later to get her eval to take to another place who got her in within the week. I am paying out of pocket but we'll worth it because sometimes insurance doesn't lead to the best places

Don't recommend this place due to the service provided as well as their billing department. They request money when you start the service to fill up your patient account and draw the patient responsibility from it after each session. I have not seen any of their billing or paperwork for this. Our last day of service was August 2022 and as of September 2023 I have not received my leftover balance from them. Nobody seems to care, nobody is following up on anything. When it comes to the service: at the beginning I felt like there was work toward a goal but once the issue improved (grateful for that) the sessions seemed to be filled with exercises that didn't need work but the skill set would have improved along with the natural development. We have been about 4 times so far, and the staff is exceptionally patient and kind. I look forward to seeing improvements in my little one thanks to the knowledgeable staff *updated* We ended up not continuing with this company. The therapist turnover rate is high, so we never could establish any type of relationship, which is important for my child's success. With his needs, ABA therapy worked out best. This may be ok for other children, but his needs are too high.

From the very beginning this place was awful. •lost our referral and all record of me calling and speaking to them about an appt they placed on hold for us. First appt we pre-paid $270 for the appt and any other costs our insurance may not cover. •the physical therapist spent maybe 15 minutes with us our first appt and didn’t give us any info, taught us 1 stretch and didn’t go over a game plan. Just measured her for shoe inserts and said pick them up in 2 weeks. I asked if insurance covered and she said most likely no, but my deposit would cover them. • 2 days before appt I get a call to make the appt that was already made. I explained we had one and she then said the inserts came in and wanted to collect the money for them. I said that I gave them a deposit and was told it would be taken

i don’t know what happened to this place. i came here many years ago to regain strength due to severe paralysis on my left side caused by a brain tumor. i loved it and the therapist were really nice. i ended up being released because ‘i didn’t need therapy anymore’. A YEAR AGO i went in for a re-eval because i’m still struggling and come to find i still obviously need therapy. they said they would contact us later but never did. it’s been a year and we’ve still heard nothing from them. as a former patient i am extremely disappointed in this place and their failure to follow through. if you’re wanting to get your kid help save your time and don’t bother with this place. if you’re going to have a business that helps kids you should actually try and help them not leave them and their familie
