I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Marionette Jayaprakash . I came in describing classic menopausal symptoms significantly affecting my daily life, but instead of addressing menopause as a likely cause, she insisted it could be “everything else,” despite the fact that I’ve had a hysterectomy and no longer produce my own hormones. All my symptoms were dismissed and redirected to unlikely causes such as vitamin deficiencies or lack of sleep…issues I’ve never had and that have never appeared in my yearly bloodwork. I see a doctor annually, and these symptoms are new, yet they were downplayed rather than taken seriously. My son has been with going to Duke doctors his whole life. He sees Dr. Ghazi. He loves him, I love him. He listens to all of our concerns and addresses them. He also will call us at home in evenings to check on him. If I ever send message on my chart He responds quickly. Love love Duke.

“I visited Duke Primary Care for a physical with Dr. Matthew Isaacs. Unfortunately, I had seen him before, and this visit was disappointing. He brushed off my concerns, and his tone was very unpleasant. As a result, I didn’t feel comfortable sharing more, so I left the appointment early. I do want to mention, however, that I saw Dr. Timothy Thompson there for years, and he was a wonderful physician, though he has since left the practice.”

My mom saw this provider (Christine Huynh) for the first time following up from a hospital stay because her actual PCP was not available. This provider was not friendly at all and when my mom tried to have a question or issue resolved the provider told her “I have to go now” are you freaking kidding me!!!!! She wasn’t even in the room 20 mins with us. What’s the point in a follow up if the issues or concerns won’t be addressed. She really showed that she didn’t care because when I “tried” to ask her a question she talked over me as if what I had to ask wasn’t important. I have came to the realization these Duke offices are overwhelmed to the point where patient care was went down tremendously! Dr. Mishriky is phenomenal! Attentive, thorough and knowledgeable. I think he’s the best primary care provider I’ve had thus far. The staff is also extremely caring, efficient, and timely. I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a scheduled appointment. The practice is a 10/10! Another pleasant experience at a Duke practice.
