As a “self retired” dental hygienist, I am particular about the dental care for my two children. They have only ever been patients at Children’s Dentistry because: 1. The first impression upon entering, the front desk ladies, have only and always been delightful-warm, inviting, with smiles of “welcome in”, you’re safe here. 2. The dental assistants are the ones who will take your potentially nervous little love(s) back for treatment and they are always kid friendly and make the walk to the back less intimidating. 3. “Our” dental hygienist, Katherine, well, I’m partial to her because we were hygiene students and friends during the intense program at UNC-CH and she’s just so very skilled at her hand work and her connection with her patients. My kids have been seeing for years and it’s been such an amazing experience. Even our daughter who has needed some not so fun dental work - Dr. Kevin and his staff have made it a breeze and kept her comfortable. Both of my kids look forward to their appointments which helps this mama in a big way!

This is where me and my siblings grew up going and we LOVED our experience so when I had my own kids I knew this is where I wanted them to go. Dr. Gilchrest is so awesome! The kids love him, he’s professional, friendly, and always takes good care of them! We love it here!!! Everyone is so nice and welcoming.

We absolutely love Dr. Kevin and the entire team. Everyone is so kind, warm and focused on making the experience comfortable and fun for kids. Office and waiting room are great and my kids enjoy going to the dentist now.

We can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kevin. He is so professional and patient, and his bedside manner with kids is outstanding. Our kids genuinely look forward to their dental visits, and that peace of mind as a parent is priceless.
