Driscoll Children's Quick Care - McAllen

I took my 6-year-old daughter, to Driscoll QuickCare because she was in severe ear pain—crying, screaming, and visibly grimacing. It was obvious she was suffering. Despite this, no one showed any concern for her pain. The receptionist, medical assistant, and even the registered nurse all stated the same thing: “We’re not an emergency clinic,” and implied that they do not prioritize or address severe pain. We were told they go strictly by “the numbers,” regardless of how much a child is suffering. No attempt was made to help her with any non-pharmacological comfort measures—not even a simple warm compress—until we were already brought back. I am 100% satisfied the staff, how quick everything was and the Dr! Dr. Luis Arturo Batres. I felt like I wasn’t in a rush explaining to him what my son had he listened even though it was packed in there! Thank you def recommend this place! The nurse Omar was very patient and kind! First time taking my daughter to the Clinic portion of this Facility. It was quick easy and the staff was very knowledgeable with her care. We didn’t have to wait hours like in an ER we got seen in a timely manner. Highly recommend, keep up the awesome work! Thank you Driscoll for being our #1 in any care we need.

Staff has been great to my little boy. My son looked forward to his appt. Driscoll made him feel safe. Everything runs smooth and procedures were always well explained. Dr smith is one of the best pediatric doctors I know. Thank you for caring for my child and for bringing him happiness. Glad pt care is priority in this facility ♥️

Patient rooms are filthy. Very dirty. I’ve been waiting for doctor in a room with my sick son for an hour. Staff is great. Doctors are lazy and don’t care for patients.
