Dr. Zavos conducted a hearing assessment as requested by AZDOC. His report was inconsistent and AZDOC requested clarification however after being provided with my credentials and job discription as a parole unit supervisor. He stated in his report that I was a correctional officer and could do a range of duties that are not available. Dr. Zavos doesn't believe a hearing loss in 1 yr from 36% to 24% with CROS lateral hearing aides with a transmitter no big deal for law enforcement officer to work by them self that carries a weapon is any concern for public safety. So my recommendation is to get several Audiologist opinions. I have three Audiologist that totally disagree with Dr. Zavos and belive he is incompetent.
