I had such a difficult time breathing and until I saw him - he put me on a maintenance schedule with proper inhalers and medications. I was able to start being part of life again. Dr Prisco has been my doctor for 40 years. I was a severe asthmatic as a child and well into my young adulthood. In my early 20s, I had 2 respiratory failures both of which required intubation. Dr Prisco saved my life !!! Beyond being the best doctor, he is one of the most caring, compassionate human beings I’ve ever met. Dr prisco genuinely cares !!! He will always take extra time to make sure you receive the best care. I have been pretty much medication free for years…aside from the occasion colds or respiratory infections that can trigger some asthma. Sadly, you just don’t find many doctors like him. My review is based solely on the incompetence of the staff at this office. I called and made an appointment 5 weeks ago, provide my name, insurance information and telephone number. I called the day prior to the appointment to confirm the appointment, as no one called me or confirmed with me. I showed up to the appointment 15 minutes earlier and was told to fill out 8 forms and provide my insurance card and photo identification once completed. I filled out all the forms and clipped my insurance card and id to the clipboard and left it with the woman in the front. The woman had 2 calls, so she was unable to review it and I waited an additional 10 minutes while she finished the calls. Once she was done, she comes out from behind her desk and tells me the office does not take my insurance. I

Dr. Prisco is a wonderful doctor. He is very thorough, compassionate and effective - he's helped my mother tremendously. I'd recommend him to everyone.

Doctor Douglas Prisco, Has been my doctor over 30 years. He is my lung doctor and G.P. He always is kind and considerate, I trust him totally now that he is in Queens I have no problem Seeing him at his new office. If you’re looking for a good Lung doctor Dr. Prisco is the one to see
