I first met Dr Poretz in late Dec 2002. He looked at me and told me he knew what was wrong with me. He ordered bloodwork and a chest X-Ray. The next day he confirmed my diagnosis and told me “I would get through this and had to believe it” Almost 22 years later I am now 71 and that illness is fully under control albeit I have numerous other age and smoking related health issues. Every time I see him he reminds me . I told you that you were going to get through it and still be around in 20 years. Dr Poretz has always listened to all my questions and concerns and pointed me to the appropriate specialist to deal with them. He saved my life and I will be eternally grateful to him.

I resolved nothing after three visits with this provider; essentially he refused to treat me or hear me out; indicative of that was the fact he did not even bring the lab he ordered to our last meeting. It was absolutely degrading to have to take off work, think I am going to heal/be taken care of by a professional, to only have him tell me that I don't deserve his attention to detail. Just about every specialist told me go to Infectious Disease; seems Dr Poretz just wants to not treat me.

This is Debra Johnson, my son and I were very happy with Dr Poretz, he is making sure that Tony who was very sick in the hospital, is now doing very well and Dr Poretz is making sure by checking his blood work. Dr P. answered all our questions and made us feel more calm about what he had experienced. Tony is doing much better. God bless Dr Poretz. Thanks for your knowledge and kindness. I can’t be more frustrated with his practice. The Front Desk is a disaster. The Dr. prescribed me a medicine, went to the pharmacy, but they never sent the prescription. Then they sent me a text with an appt. that I never made, when called to ask what the appt. was for, the Front Desk lady told me I needed to go for lab work. I got there and after waiting for 30 min. they told me I didn’t need that appt. and that my actual appt. wont be due until next month. I see Dr. Poretz, he is the best. But if you dont want to deal with this chaotic Front Desk, better find another practice.

Dr. Poretz was empathetic, listened to me carefully, and spoke clearly without any ambiguity. Above all, he laid my mind at rest.
