I rarely leave reviews, but this is absolutely an exception. At 49 years old, I’ve never had a dental experience like the one I had at Doctors Lake Family Dental. Every single associate and the doctor were truly amazing, professional, and compassionate. I’ve been there several times over the past 10 days for extensive dental work, including an implant, and the level of care and consistency never wavered. I’ll definitely be making them my family’s primary dentist.

This was my first time attending this practice and I truly had a great experience. I have had different dental procedures done throughout my life and with that been to different practices. This practice in particular was one I really enjoyed and look forward to keep coming to on a regular basis. Michelle was my hygienist and made the experience a great one. She took the time to learn my needs and concerns all while making the experience light hearted. I ended up recommending her to my bestfriend to get a cleaning done with her too! 10/10 practice.

My experience as a first-time patient was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was met with genuine hospitality and professionalism. The entire team demonstrated a high standard of care, attentiveness, and courtesy that immediately put me at ease. I place great value on excellent customer service, and this office exceeded my expectations in every regard. The environment was welcoming, well-organized, and thoughtfully run. My husband was in severe pain when we came in, which naturally comes with heightened emotions and a lot of discomfort. The dental assistant was absolutely incredible — so patient, kind, and understanding with him during the entire visit. Dr. Fernando was just as wonderful. He took his time to explain everything clearly and handled the situation with so much patience and professionalism, even while my husband was understandably frustrated and hurting. It’s rare to find a team that shows that level of compassion. This was truly one of the best dental experiences we’ve ever had. We’re so grateful for the care they provided.

I was a long-term patient of another dentist on Fleming Island… For over 30 years and they quit taking my insurance so I started out looking for a new dental practice. I have visited several over the past two years and none seems like a good fit due to various reasons, Including sanitary practices for some offices. When I saw Doctor’s Lake Family Dental had been recommended by their peers in the Jacksonville Magazine for December 2025, I called for an initial consultation. At my arrival, I was greeted by very courteous staff that was so genuine and sincere - you know when it comes from the heart. The decor was pleasant and comfortable, and the music was also, very easy-going… They even had Christmas tunes playing. Danielle was introduced to me as my hygienist and was extremely professio
