Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Canal Pointe

The one thing I can say about Divine Canal Pointe is whenever I have walked into a patient’s room it actually smelled clean. What I have learned over the years in healthcare is that something can look clean, but if it is not actually clean the smell will give it away every time. The direction that this place is going in has leveled up throughout the years and I am looking forward to seeing what other good things they have in store for the patients.

My best friend, cousin's cousin's uncle had to stay here in the past. I have always heard nothing but nice things here. The resident enjoyed the activities, food, other residents, and says the staff memebers were good lookers. It was hard to get this uncle to want to leave when it was necessary to be discharged.

Canal has improved and is working hard to keep our residents happy improving on the building management is very involved with residents they have great activities for the residents. With encouragement and staff working together canal will grow .

I wouldnt give this place a single star. They have ran out of my picc line caps several times and have reused the same cap for up to 4 days straight. They have run out of saline wash for my picc line and used 4 times a solution that could case me harm. A nurse told me this morning that yesterday she sqirted saline from a tube into a cup and drew it up into a saline syringe and squirted it into my picc line. Once the saline is squirted in to a cup and becomes air born it is no longer sterile. The incompetence of nurses here is totally unacceptable. I would bring a dog here.

Rehabilitation expires once the resident has been residing for an extended period! You can leave messages, but never expect a response… The staff are very disrespectful to residents and family members if you should question them. My dad has lost a tremendous amount of weight. He’s sent out to appointments looking as if he’s homeless! He suffers from dementia, so they allow him to pull funds from his account then it mysteriously disappears. There’s no barbers on board so my dad is never groomed properly. I have to pay a barber to go into nursing home to service him. His *space is often soiled so it’s extremely difficult to keep a qualified barber! The residents health is not a priority dental hygiene podiatrist for a diabetic none of this matters.
