Desert Pediatrics

I cannot say enough amazing things about Desert Pediatrics. From the front office staff to the medical team, everyone is respectful, welcoming, and truly listens. As a mom of five, I’ve had my fair share of experiences with pediatric offices and this one is by far the best. I especially want to highlight Dr. Nguyen. She is hands down one of the most compassionate and thorough pediatricians I have ever met. She genuinely cares about her patients and takes the time to listen to parents. That level of care is the reason two of my children are alive today. One of my children had a ruptured appendix, and another was battling a rare autoimmune illness. I was turned away from hospitals, but Dr. Nguyen stepped in. She believed me. She trusted my mother’s instincts. She advocated for my children

I’ve taken my children to see Desert pediatrics from the time that they were newborns. My oldest daughter is 12 years old. My youngest daughter is 4 years. I have a 12 year history with this pediatric office. Since they have essentially gained an entire new staff from their administrative team, to their MAs, their nurses… Whatever they are. It has been a nightmare. And if you were to ask me about them now, I would not suggest starting care here. Everything that I loved about this Office, from their flexibility, to their same day sick visits, to the kindness of their front office when scheduling an appointment… Has just went completely out the window. They have changed how they operate and forgot to inform their patients who have been with them for 10+ years and when you call them out on it

Excellent staff and great new building. The medical team has an exuberant amount of knowledge and experience with children's medical care. Always gets us in the same day if immediate care is needed

We love Desert Pediatrics! I feel my kids are in good hands with the excellent team of providers and staff. When my kids are sick or an emergency happens, they almost always find us a same day appointment. Middle of the night? - the afterhours answering service and nurseline is prompt and helpful. They are always quick to send out prescriptions and referrals. Dr. Dave McHorney is a compassionate, informed doctor with a reassuring, calm demeanor. He takes the time during each appointment to answer our questions and address our concerns in a way that the whole family can understand. We've seen Dr. Vondrak on occasionally, too and he is also wonderful!

I have been coming to this practice for almost 15 years. The staff are wonderful and Dr. Nguyen is amazing. She explains things, listens to my concerns and offers helpful feedback. I can tell ahead of time cares about my kids and their wellbeing.
