Deptford Center

This place really changed my perspective about nursing homes. The residents are happy and staff treats them like family. The ADON Essence is awesome and very helpful. You can count on the manger team for all your needs. Thank you for taking care of my loved one!

I visited a friend here for the first time today. the place is clean. it doesn’t smell funny. the staff were kind and helpful. my friend said the meals are pretty good. we watched a good movie together on a big screen TV.her room is small yet comfortable with a private bathroom. I’m happily impressed.

As soon as I got to the second floor, I wanted to throw up due to the awful urine stench. The woman at the front desk when you enter is beyond rude. Don’t call to ask her a question, because she’ll hang up on you. Don’t bother asking her a question when you’re signing in, because you’ll get the worst attitude. People are coming here to visit their ill/dying loved ones and you’re greeted with rudeness. It’s disrespectful. The only positive/nice people I met so far were the nurse who was helping my dad at arrival and the nurse checking him in.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Deptford center to care for anyone. I hate to do this because everyone has their own version of poor care but my mother was moved here post surgery because of proximity to family and her home. Upon, arrival to Deptford center, her room was not clean by the lowest of standards. There was an eaten tray of food left on her bedside table that belonged to the patient that was in that bed prior to her. There were dirty socks and other clothes there as well. I assumed that they were my mother’s until she told me that they were not. Already holding them, I walked to the nurses station and tried to hand them to the nursing staff/nursing assistants. They ALL Laughed and scattered because the clothing was in fact dirty. Mind you, I was holding someone else’s so

Crystal the manager is on her game ! Every time I needed to discuss my sister's needs .she welcomed me with open arms ! The staff is very nice ! The place doesn't smell at all !
