Dentistry for Children of Toms River

My 4 year old has been going here for 2 years now, we get in and seen fairly quickly compared to some other places. They are always very friendly to us and make him feel comfortable. He saw the same dentist the last two times and she was so nice! He also was supposed to get x-rays the last 2 times we went and wasn't quite ready for it yet. He's still afraid and won't let them do it. I had one staff seem like she was a little annoyed with him and said "just forget it" but then when the hygienist came in to clean his teeth and I told her he would not let them do the x-rays again, She assured me that it was fine and normal for his age to still be afraid, and that we would try next time when he's a little older and comes back. I took my daughter for a routine cleaning and the hygenist not only didn’t even open the tooth paste, but she didn’t turn on the polisher. She just touched it to my daughter’s front two teeth and said “ok she’s good to go”. When I questioned this I was told “she’s 2 and a cleaning isn’t important at this age it’s just to get them use to the motions”. The dentist himself came in and half looked at her teether and didn’t say one word just walked out. I had to hunt him down when leaving and ask if she was good to go or had any issues. No one offered further assistance. This is my daughter’s fourth cleaning and every time prior they have done an actual cleaning and the dentist explained to me what they saw and what to look for going forward. I will definately be finding a new dentist after th

Not good. Had an appointment two weeks ago. Filled its paperwork wasn’t see because my daughter was on antibiotics and I was told they can’t see a patient if she’s on antibiotics. This makes zero sense since dentists prescribe antibiotics to patients prior to procedures. I go today and had to do the paperwork all over again Appointment took an hour at 8:30 in the morning. Ridiculous wait for my kid to have the dentist look at her teeth for 30 seconds.

I am there so much, ask Letty! We joke about my tax forms and overtime payout! They make something that is inherantly scary for the kids and know how to put the parents at ease at the same time! Our inside jokes are a blessing in disguise! I would be totally irate otherwise! Thats Facts!

Honestly expected so much more and very disappointed. The answering the phone is ridiculous I waited on hold for 30 mins just to have someone answer the phone. My son had a tooth injury and they did not take it seriously at all. No urgency What’s so ever. The front desk looks miserable all the time. Some people were nice to my son others were not. For a children’s place the care is not there. Being around scared children there should be more care and compassion. My two year old was crying and they made it seem like it annoyed them more than trying to be nice to him so he would not be scared then and in the future.
