Dental Care at Verandah

I am a new patient with Dental Care at Verandah. I was impressed from the moment I walked into the clinic. Very friendly staff, the dental hygienist was so knowledgeable and explained in detail what she was going to do with the cleaning of my teeth and as she went through the process. She did an excellent job, the best cleaning I have ever had!!! Dr Patel was also friendly and knowledgeable as well. I would definitely rate them with 5 stars and also highly recommend others to this clinic as well!

In my experience, this dental office struggled with transparency around billing and recommendations. I brought a copy of my recent X-rays from another provider and specifically said I did not want any additional X-rays or services unless they were fully covered by my insurance. During my visit, I was reassured and convinced that the X-rays they recommended would be covered and that I wouldn’t owe anything out of pocket. Based on that information and the document they provided me with costs, I agreed to proceed. A while later, I received a bill I was not expecting. When I called for clarification, I was told the earlier information was only an estimate. This was confusing to me because the way it had been explained felt much more definite at the time. The office is clean and organized. The front desk staff is very friendly and professional.. Margaret my dental tech is very nice and thorough as well as professional. She loves what she does.. Doctor Montez is great. He is very thorough.

I'm not happy. Wanted to get my 6-month check-up and cleaning. This was my second visit at this business and the first was 6 months ago. They wanted to do additional deep cleaning that is expensive and only partially covered by insurance. I declined the deep cleaning and they refused to do my normal cleaning. They said Florida Law prohibits them from doing that. They did not provide the statute when asked. I'm sure they are correct that the additional service would better serve my dental health and that's the reason behind their decision. They said they would be neglecting my dental health by doing the normal cleaning only. Somehow, I guess, my dental health is now better served without any cleaning whatsoever.
