BEWARE. This place’s billing practices are a complete scam. If you make an appointment here they will miscode and/or do inaccurate coding for any type of office visit and any blood lab work. Had a similar experience to another reviewer at this location. I made a new patient annual preventative visit, went, and had a completely standard preventative care appointment. Imagine my surprise when a little while later I got a bill for $225 for bloodwork. After looking into it, they coded my standard preventative care blood lab work as diagnostic. They were very standard labs, nothing different or extra and they were for, I repeat, a PREVENTATIVE CARE VISIT (It’s $0 for preventative care through my insurance). Recently went to this practice for my annual preventative care visit. I did not bring up any health issues during this appointment other than asking for bloodwork, which is standard for a preventative care visit. For this visit, Penn initially included several additional billing codes beyond a standard preventive care visit that were not even covered by my insurance, with the initial EOB claiming I owed around $200 for this standard preventative care visit! I then later received a bill from Penn for my co-pay because Penn is still billing for an office visit on top of the preventative care visit (I owe $0 for a preventative care visit). I have been going to this practice for years and my doctor moved. Recently a needed an appointment for a more urgent issue. Scheduling at this practice is beyond atrocious. Just frustratingly impossible. I will be looking for a new primary practice.
