Dekalb Drugs Inc

I love supporting small local businesses, but would not recommend this pharmacy for prescription pick up at all. It's been nearly two weeks and I still don't have my medicine. On my last call attempt I was told the medicine was in stock and left work early to pick-up. I get there and they tell me they don't have it. I tried transferring this prescription to another pharmacy and they don't answer the phone. Luckily I have other options for pharmacies nearby where I work, and will have to reach out to my provider to send elsewhere, but feel sorry for people that have to depend on this pharmacy for their meds.

The pharmacy is nice but the hours online are inaccurate. This is my second Saturday going between 2 and 3 and they’re already closed. It’s unfortunate that the hours are inconsistent. This leaves me to wait until Monday when they reopen or switch pharmacies. This also has happened to my partner during the week where the business closes at 6, he’s been there at 530 and it’s closed/boarded up. Both of us have called beforehand and the phone doesn’t get answered. An easy fix would be updating the hours online or on the voicemail

Never had a problem in getting my meds on time

I thought I would try to switch to a pharmacy in the neighborhood. My doctor sent in a prescription and they told me it wasn't ready for refill yet. Fine - that's not their fault. I told them I was going out of town and asked if they could call my insurance and ask for an override. Every pharmacy I've ever worked with has done this for me. She told me no and when I pushed she told me "I'm very busy." The woman was super rude and totally unhelpful. I go to small pharmacies because they're usually really helpful and accommodating - it's a human experience and I like supporting a family business. This could not have been farther from the case here. I don't need to go to a pharmacy where they're rude and unhelpful. There are a thousand other options. I called my old pharmacy and they helped me

Great pharmacy. Cares about their customers. I try to get everything from these guys.
