Deaconess Gateway Hospital

I cannot say enough good things about the ER team at Deaconess Gateway Hospital who cared for me on Thursday Feb 5th, 26. From start to finish, this was one of the most compassionate & reassuring medical experiences I’ve had in a long time. My nurse, Lena, was truly exceptional. She was honest, calm, and deeply compassionate in a way that immediately put me at ease. Her transparency and empathy were incredibly refreshing, and I honestly wish there were 1,000 nurses just like her. Dr. Bickle, the resident physician on my case, was equally wonderful. She was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain every step of the process in a way that made me feel informed and cared for, not rushed or dismissed. My discharge nurse, CJ, was also phenomenal and made sure I clearly understood

The care that the staff as a whole has been exceptional to say the least. It truly shows that everyone cares about what they do and how loving and genuine they are is priceless. Ashley the charge nurse has been amazing to say the least. It's as if everyone is family. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring for my uncle in the manner that you have and being so kind and gracious.

Went yesterday for a orthopedic checkup post op. For dr. Hunter and she came in like she was cool checked my hand out i cut through 3 tendons and have a broken thumb. First she asked if I wanted experiment medication I told her no and she started raising her voice at my making me feel like a junkie because I didn't want her medication I've never felt like that before to a point where I wanted to cry Dr's are not supposed to make you feel like that i highly DO NOT RECOMMEND SEEING HER. she needs to be laid off if i was able to i would sue the crap out of her for profiling there's a lot more i can say but im not going to. Very unprofessional and i don't recommend

My mom came in yesterday for same day surgery knee replacement. We were both super nervous but our nurse Lydia Green was so amazing! She was very educating on my mom’s after care and kept us entertained during our long day there. We had many great laughs. She’s an amazing nurse and women! You have a good one on your team that’s for sure! We hope to see her again at my mom’s next surgery and I’m bringing her a good ol’ pot of green beans! 🫶🏼

So a few things to say from my personal experience after 6 days admitted, ER was very busy as expected they were doing blood work ahead of time despite how busy I got back at a medium speed I'd say I was pretty bad because my chrohns disease, the ER staff was amazing especially Dr Bickel, they got me admitted and unfortunately it was half a room no windows or anything and a shared bathroom but it was the only room they had available (A212) absolutely everyone was amazing and kind and nice from the nurses to the Techs to even the lab people every 6 hours aside from one lab worker who was kinda aggressive, My biggest negative aside from Nurse Paige on the weekend the weekend staff definitely weren't phenomenal felt ignored to an extent and even the Doctor was just a quick in and out not
