Davis Dentistry of Murfreesboro South

I started going to Davis Dentistry South in March 2025. I had a plan of treatment and fulfilled all of my scheduled procedures with no problems, other than how long the wait times are. I have had a routine cleaning scheduled with them for 6 months, it was for today at 3pm. I received a voice mail earlier from a member of their office asking me to call back about my 3pm appointment. I called but no one answered. At 2:41pm, when I was 5 to 10 minutes away, I got another call saying I missed my appointment. Apparently my appointment was rescheduled without my knowledge, as this was never mentioned in the message. I was a patient here for several years, but the constant turnover of dentists and management made the practice feel unstable and unreliable. One of my earliest negative experiences was calling with a severe toothache. The staff member I spoke to was curt and dismissive, giving me no options and telling me the earliest appointment was weeks away. No guidance, no alternative solutions — just a “too bad” attitude. More recently, I was shocked to be told I had a $900 balance before a routine cleaning. I have insurance and always paid my co-pays, so this made no sense. After investigating, I learned the issue was that several rotating dentists were not in my insurance network, despite the office itself being listed as in-network. Hands down best place I have ever been to. The staff is super friendly and informative. They are great at trying to work with your schedule. They take most dental insurance. All in all I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. And that's on me taking time out to type this when I dont do reviews.

I scheduled an appointment and clearly said many times I wanted to make sure there would be enough time to get some small work done on one of my front teeth on the first visit. Went in there, waited forever, had clumsy X rays, and then was told there wasn't enough time to take care of the tooth. Wasted my time and I don't have much of it. I feel they got me to come in there anyway and never planned to take care of it on the same day.

Great experience overall. Staff was friendly, everything was quick and smooth, and they made it way less stressful than I expected. Definitely coming back.
