Subject: Formal Complaint – Predatory Billing Practices and Unauthorized Appointment Scheduling To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this formal complaint against DAVID VANDER VELDT's OFFICE Meadows Eye regarding a $25.00 "no-show" fee resulting from an appointment I never authorized or requested. I believe this company is engaging in a predatory "auto-scheduling" scheme designed to generate fraudulent revenue from unsuspecting patients. Statement of Facts Over one year ago, I visited Meadows Eye for an eye examination. Unknown to me at the time, the office—without my consent or signature—automatically scheduled a follow-up appointment in their system for exactly one year later. I was never consulted about this date, I never agreed to it and had no idea and appointment had been created

I am writing to say how pleased I am with the eye exam that I received today. Dr. David Vander Veldt is an excellent Optometrist. He is very professional, efficient and has a great personality! David Vander Valet was very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and did a thorough exam. Staff was very friendly and patient with a few rude customers. The gentleman who helped me find the right frames and add-one was great and extremely nice. The only thing that bothered me a little was having to wait for almost 40 minutes past my appointment time to get in. But overall they do a great job.

The staff is friendly, courteous and professional. Dr. Vander Veldt is pleasant and knowledgeable. He is accurate and truly cares about the patients needs. I have inquired about various procedures on brochures and was satisfied with his information. He was honest to say when something wasn't necessary. No upsell. Not even in the optical department. Stephanie's the best!

I am very pleased with the Doctor he has done an outstanding job of helping me with my eye issues and today we received great news the medication he prescribed is doing it's job. The entire office staff is great could not ask for better care and consideration. Now I wish I could find an MD as good as Dr. Vander Veldt I would be all set.
