Having been to the pediatrics at Dartmouth Hitchcock, there are no things to complain about other than having to walk through a labirinth of hallways to get to the desired destination. The doctors, nurses and staff have always been professional and courteous. The waiting has never been extensive and the ambiance has been comfortable with appropriate waiting area distractions. There is also available free WIFI which is needed as in many places the cell phone signal is absent.

Our family recently spent two nights in the PICU with our infant son and then a night on the pediatric step down unit. We cannot say enough positive things about the care our son received while hospitalized at DH. No parent wants to want their child go through sickness, but it was comforting to know he was in the best hands. From RN, RT, attendings, residents, LNAs, etc. everyone was amazing. We hope to never spend the night on your units again but if we have to we know we will be in the best hands. Thank you, everyone!

My son has been a patient here since Jan 2011. He was just 5 1/2 weeks old and dying. The doctors the staff everyone works together so nicely so compassionately. If not for Dr. Flanagan we would not have our son, He caught everything early, His team did so many many things for us including reassuring and keeping a hysterical mother (me) From completely melting down and losing control . They are an amazing bunch of hard working, dedicated thinkers that actually have compassion and empathy which you do not always find when you need it most. When you are given a choice please always chose here.

We have an adopted son from the State of NH Foster Care system. For the first 4 years our son saw the specialists at CHaD led by Dr. Sand-Loud regarding his ADHD, attachment disorder and other issues. He recently turned 19 which with any other pediatric program, your child would have a few more years receive treatment. Not with CHaD. He was dropped so we asked for a recommendation on where to go next. Dr Sand-Laud’s office never returned our calls, DHMC psychiatry told us they would only see him if his GP or Pediatrician was in their hospital, and when we asked about outside recommendation to another service they actually suggested we google it. So I’ve now spent 4 months looking for mental health for my 19 year old college student and offered no help from the agency the State of NH pu

Wonderful staff, treatment, and overall care at the Intensive Care Nursery. I couldn't have imagined a better experience at such a scary time. The care team were so communicative and helpful and really went above and beyond to make us feel informed, advocated for, and confident in the treatment being provided for our newborn.
