Avoid Dr. Dea at all costs. I saw the him in early December and it has taken his office nearly two months to provide my sleep study to the CPAP vendor and they still have not faxed the info. After two weeks of back and forth phone calls between myself and the office staff, NOTHING has been done. I was supposed to have my two month follow up with the doctor this week and I still don’t have the device. I called Dr. Dea’s office to let them know I was cancelling and why, and that I was going to find another provider, and they just said, “Ok.” No apology. Nothing.

Dr. Dea and his team basically saved my husband’s life in the Providence ICU when he was ventilated with Covid. It’s awkward to write medical reviews, because it’s not like I can guarantee another patient will have the same experience. But if it’s COVID, Dr. Dea has seen some of the worst cases through. He is efficient and focused, so this is not a chatty doctor. He really is THAT busy, saving lives. It’s hard to believe this initially, when you’re the grieving spouse of a ventilated COVID patient. But months later, my husband is home making a full recovery. There are nurses in the Providence ICU who swear no other doctor would be allowed near their lungs if they were to be ventilated with COVID, and that's justified. Dr Dea and his staff are extremely nice. Dr Dea takes his time to listen and understand his patient. Dr. Dea took his time and explained what is going on with my dads lungs after looked at the scan. I finally found a place I can trust to take care of my dad.

Dr Dea is the worse. My husband died last year 3 weeks after seeing Dr Dea. At appointment the Dr told him he was fine and could go play golf. My husband at the time was suffering and couldn’t breathe. When my husband died the Death Certificate said he died from pneumonia. The doctor never even called me and when I got a hold of him he told me that “people can die quickly from pneumonia”. I asked what about walking pneumonia, I got no answer. It’s obvious that he miss diagnosed my husband and just brushed him off. His bed side manner is awful. I’d like to take him to court but don’t have the money. Just beware. Dr Dea is the worse.

Did not get to meet Doc till a month after he saved my life. Aspirational pneumonia almost killed me until Dr D stepped in and I got all my lung function back. Thank you Doc.
