CVS Pharmacy

Well, they deleted my review, so I’ll add another one. I went to fill a prescription for a Cardiac Nurse. She had knee surgery because a patient attacked her. Needless to say, she was in pain. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescription, even though they accepted the order from the Doctor. It took until the next day to have the doctor call another location. I was up with her all night because of this. If you want to be sure you get your prescription filled, go someplace else. The pharmacist even tried to lie and say insurance wouldn’t cover it. Awful.

Pharmacist Aws Atallah is rude, aggressive, unhelpful and lied about medication coverage. Had this experience once and thought maybe he was having a bad day but have received the same hostile and aggressive treatment upon picking up my next prescription. If I hadn’t needed the medication I would have left and transferred the prescription elsewhere today. This pharmacy used to have the best staff but after two experiences like this with this new pharmacist my family will be going elsewhere.

The bald pharmacist not only lied about prescription coverage, seemingly out of fatphobic bias, but was also rude and unpleasant to interact with. His behavior wasn’t limited to us; he was publicly berating the staff he manages. It was unprofessional, hostile, and extremely embarrassing for both Target and CVS. We will be switching pharmacies, and recommend others do the same.

As a provider, I have worked with hundreds of pharmacies; this pharmacy was by far the hardest to work with and least willing to help with filling a prescription for my patient. It was a simple prescription for antibiotics over the phone, but they were “too busy to enter the patient’s information into their computer system over the phone” and were “too busy to check the prescriber voicemail, so don’t leave a voicemail.” They were only willing to accept the prescription electronically, so all the patient data was pre-filled in their system. Terrible pharmacy.

Went in for a shot. The bald male pharmacist performing the shot was curt, unpleasant, and unwilling to answer questions. He had trouble working with my short sleeve T-shirt, and injected me in a different location than where he placed disinfectant. Thankfully he was able to put the needle in my arm and depress the plunger, so I did receive my vaccine. This is only my second time coming here after the location up the road closed. I didn't have any issues last time, so I think it varies depending on who you get. That said, I am seriously considering switching pharmacies.
