CVS Pharmacy

This location is known to be a little run down and understaffed, but that's all done if you don't mind the 20-30 minute wait. However, the inability of CVS to properly staff the pharmacy doesn't excuse nasty responses and blatant unprofessionalism. A pharmacy is a stop a person makes to receive help and guidance, NOT to be rebuked and belittled by staff and untrained employees. Additional training with regard to basic etiquette skills can go a long way for this run down CVS. Although it's just a job for them, it's life and death for others ... Do better.

After I had responded in a negative way to the survey. I did receive a call from Charlene and she did explain why things were not exactly done as I expected. There was never any question about whether I received the right medication or the right amount this time. So now I feel I can move forward and continue to get my prescriptions at the CVS on Burnside avenue in Inwood.

CVS is always a good trip, especially if you’re smart about it and use your ExtraCare card along with the app, and download all available discounts and specials. I “usually” end up buying $50 worth of food stuffs etc. and the savings could be $20 or more. Listen to your parents and clip those coupons.

This CVS location is usually my go to. I’ve picked up my prescriptions from other CVS’s and figure I would go to one closer to home… NEVER AGAIN! The pharmacy is understaffed and the three employees that work there have no sense of care or urgency. I initially stopped in around 3:45pm and was #8 on the line of 10 people. I decided to wait in line, 20 minutes into my wait an elderly woman started repeatedly coughing. In today’s times, a line that long to pick up prescriptions is unacceptable. Not only do I not want to get sick but my immune system is weak, I can’t afford to get sick. I decided to leave the line and try again a little later in the evening hoping that the line would not be long.
