CVS Pharmacy

CVS.Montgomery Village Pharmacy has gotten a bad rap in the past, but lately there’s been a real turnaround. They now have two pharmacists who are consistently there, and my prescriptions are ready when they say they will be. The CVS app is excellent and makes it easy to manage refills and handle a lot on your own. Their phone service has also improved a lot—you can actually get through, and someone has called me back within the hour to answer questions. I’m very happy with the improvements and with how Montgomery Village Pharmacy has turned things around.

I was withdrawing cold turkey from a psych med on Monday and the pharmacist did not give a shit. I was in a full psychotic episode and the people in line cared more than he did. He even made me wait in line a second time once he overrode and filled the prescription instead of giving it to me immediately and giving me advice on withdrawal/recovery. I almost killed myself because of CVS and my insurance blocking this prescription and they didn't show an ounce of compassion.

If I could I would give 0. Ridiculous service, called 4-5 time regarding my prescription and still having problems getting my prescription. My doctor has sent in my prescription multiple times and it seems like this pharmacy just doesn’t check the doctor’s notes. Also the lines to pick up your prescription is ridiculous. Expect 30-1 hour.

Bad service, terrible people. They lose the prescription, say it's gone, and just wash their hands of it. They make you wait and don't give you anything until they feel like it. Honestly, very bad service. We don't ask for free, we have insurance, or we pay out of pocket for urgent medicine for each of us who requests it.
