I've worked in healthcare for over twenty years and there are just some providers who are outstanding. Dr. Logan Cooper is one of them. My daughter is a competitive rock climber and had been going to physical therapy for months for ongoing shoulder pain and injuries. Her rock climbing coach had recommended Dr. Cooper but I had dragged my feet because Gaithersburg is a long haul from Northern VA. Because she kept getting injured despite doing her PT exercises, we decided to make the trek to Gaithersburg/Beta PT and from the very first visit, knew that we would keep coming back. Dr. Cooper has a kind, friendly, caring presence and really listens to the patient, their concerns, and what they would like to accomplish in their visits with him. Dr. Cooper is amazing. I have been going to different PTs to try and get relief for my lower back after having a foot injury. Other PTs were only treating the symptoms of my back pain and not finding the cause. On my first visit Dr. Cooper diagnosed the cause of my pain, explained how my foot injury had lead to my back issues and what the plan was to correct those issues. On subsequent visits he re-evaluates your progress to make sure he is addressing any other issues that you are having. During one of these visits he corrected a shoulder issue that I had been having for over a year but didn't know that PT could correct. I would recommend him to anyone that needs PT and wants a provider that will look for a whole body solution, not just a temporary fix for your symptoms.

I fractured my Talus and dislocated my ankle (Hawkins 3) bouldering in October of 2023. This is a very serious break that often has terrible outcomes. I believe my chances of getting AVN were around 90 percent. I have been fortunate to have a great recovery. Of course some of this was chance, my health, and age but I believe Logan was a big part of this. When I first started seeing him, I had been doing PT through a traditional medical setting. I had hit the point of starting to be active again but was experiencing pain at a level that kept stopping me from being active for multiple days. Dr. Cooper is amazing, I went to him for several months for issues with several areas of muscle tension and pain. He was always able to fix me and helped me maintain with just a few exercises. Now that I live in South Central, Virginia, I sure miss the ability to get to him for my athletic needs. Oh, and he inspired me to try rock climbing again after 30 years off the rock. :)

Logan Cooper is the best PT I have ever seen. He is both holistic in his assessment of the entire body and concisely specific about problem areas. The best part is that at the end of every session he will provide a new stretch or exercise to do at home to keep the body in tune. I couldn't recommend him strongly enough.
