CVS Pharmacy

Even though this CVS has been plagued by understaffing, the staff who is there is so kind and caring and full of humor, making your day a little brighter. Specifically James and Chris, who I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to. In a world of negativity and hate, I want to let them know how much they and everyone else there ARE appreciated. Merry Christmas 🫶

It is with great disappointment that I have to address this situation. However, if we see something, we should say something especially if it will alleviate others headaches. Do not choose this pharmacy unless you are okay with poor brand representation of CVS. On 10/9/24 (the final day for allowing this behavior), an employee of the Elkton location hung up on my mother trying to fill a script when it called for 90 days and she said sorry we only have 30 and you will have to wait 30 days to fill the rest. Wait?!? Why do I have to do more work when it is not my fault that your failure to plan to aid customers is not my responsibility to do more leg work. This is a systemic issue in this location. I have left and moved to Northside Pharmacy (literally can be seen from this location) due to

Great experience with staff. Really made a effort to help me with my prescriptions.

This was the 2nd time the Pharmacist made and error with my. Opioid prescription. The first time my bottle said 112 pills however my bottle on had 30 pills. This time my insurance was billed for a 28 day supply (112 pills) and it was actually a prescription for a 3 week supply (84 pills). The error caused me to spend over an hour in CVS to get it fixed. With no assistance from the staff I called my insurance company who advised me of their billing error previously which caused my new prescription to reject.

There is always something going on since I moved to Elkton MD and start refilling my prescription through CVS. I don't understand how the insurance pays for my prescription for the first two months and then it won't pay for some of it. Organizing customers prescription bags is a mess. They keep going back and forth and through bags to finally find my bag. I have 7 medications suppose to be refilled every month. But unfortunately they never refill it all together in one shot, I have to call two or three times to get everything. And finally I decided to switch to another pharmacy next refill because I am sick of this place.
