I called today to confirm that my insurance was on file with the pharmacy, as I needed to fill a prescription that requires prior authorization. Since they weren’t taking calls, I left a message asking for a call back. The pharmacy manager, Shantriese, returned my call and informed me that they did not have my insurance information and that the medication would cost over $800 out of pocket. I asked if I could provide my insurance details over the phone and explained that my insurance requires prior authorization, but she refused and said I would need to bring it in person. Unfortunately, this means I now have to drive 30 minutes each way just to provide insurance info that could have easily been taken over the phone. New pharmacists at this location. My Dr. Moved my dose up from .06 to .08 ml of a prescription. In April when the original prescription was filled, CVS gave me 05 bottles of the medicine. I advised them I still have 4 bottles, but I needed syringes. She told me that I could not have the syringes without purchasing the medicine. She gave me an even bigger bottle, and gave me big needles listed for Turburculous. She is not open to reason, and treated me as if I was attempting to do wrong by the syringes. I am changing my pharmacy.

I have a lot of health problems and take 30 plus pills every day. I've actually switched to a small family owned pharmacy in another town because CVS was constantly holding up my refills because they questioned every medication that was to be filled!! They are not Doctors but pretend to know more than a doctor!!! Plus they gave me crap on every one of my schedule one prescriptions. So I moved all of them out of there...

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This is the worst pharmacy in Chipley. I have came here a few times because my regular pharmacy closes at 5:30. I’ve tried to give this pharmacy the benefit of the doubt. But after today, I just can’t & WILL NOT use them ever again. The techs & the pharmacist are absolutely rude. Given the rest of the reviews on this given store. The owner who keeps commenting on these reviews needs to handle the issue & quit asking people to call. I’ve had it with this pharmacy. I’ll drive 45 minutes somewhere else before I have to use this place again. I came here 30 mins before they were closing & they said they didn’t have time to fill a prescription because they were about to close. Even though they had 30 minutes before close time. Mind you, it was only antibiotics

Would give 0 stars if I could. Pharmacist refused to fill legal and valid prescription simply because the prescription was written in Alabama ER last night. I was concerned and questioned the doctor about where to get it filled as I was traveling. The doctor told me it should be no issue and that the pharmacist could call to verify the prescription if there was an issue. CVS refused to call and refused to fill. If you want actual care and customer service in this area, go to king’s Drug! CVS actually told me to go there-They couldn’t care less. Terrible business practices all the way around at this location
