Custom Dental of Ottawa- Dr. Leanne Desch

Didn’t realize exactly I never made a review. I went here around 2 years ago and had 4 cavities filled. I had no insurance so we just paid off $2k for it. First off, the doctor is rude. Came in, didn’t introduce herself or simply say hello or anything. She started talking to the assistant and the whole time it was just like gossiping or whatever without a word to me except to turn my head or something. Anyway, when I had my teeth filled, I was consistently having a sharp nervy pain between those teeth that were “fixed” and it would not go away. I think I went back another 2x after telling them on the phone I was still having pain the following weeks. All they did when I came in was put some cold stuff on a q-tip and press on each tooth and ask me if it hurt. One of the nurses used a drill

Not many people enjoy going to the dentist, but they make it as pleasant as it could be. Everyone is friendly and great to deal with. Show genuine concern for your needs and will take the time to answer any questions or concerns you have.

I’ve been terrified of dentists due to some pretty traumatic experiences in the past, and I almost canceled my appointment today (after already having to reschedule once due to a family emergency). From the start, the new patient process was very thorough and inclusive. I really appreciated that they took into account things that might make me more comfortable during my visit—like offering blankets, headphones, or other options for procedures. Even offered me some water while I waited to speak to the dentist. <3 They even let me use my own headphones while the amazing hygienist cleaned my teeth (I needed a bit more than a standard cleaning, but not quite a deep cleaning).
