Costco Pharmacy

Update Dec 2024: I have completely lost trust in this Costco Pharmacy. My wife had a prescription for an ointment, one month supply, two tubes. She was told that the insurance would only cover one tube/14 days ($15) that she would save money bypassing insurance and paying cash and would pay $21 for the whole month supply (2 tubes) we paid out of pocket and still only `received one tube. This is becoming all too common with Costco, hidding behind so called insurance limits. I transferred my prescriptions to Walmart and no issue there. I would advise to check with Walmart pharmacy if you are experiencing similar issue. Seem to be finicky with insurance, always call beforehand and make sure everything is cleared. They are always late, and the head pharmacist doesn't know what he is talking about. I filed an incorrect geievance because Costco Pharmacy San Marcos said my medication was NOT covered, but it was. What a joke.

Eight out of times my prescription isn't ready, is out of stock, or only a partial refill is available meaning I have to come back a few day later. Don't you think SOMEONE would call when they can't fill it so I don't go through all the Costco hastle with parking and the time to drive there?! Nope. If it isn't an automated call, you get NO personal courtesy from this group. Then there's the fact that the pharmacy is CLOSED I in the middle of the day because they only have one pharmaclist on Saturday (wth?) !!!! Isn't that the BUSIEST DAY Costco? The staff isn't very friendly or helpful most of the time, which aggravates me even more when it's ME (ya know, the customer!) that's inconvenienced... not them!!
