Costco Pharmacy

I go here to fill the majority of my prescriptions. Sometimes there can be a line. They can get quite busy. The staff has always been pretty friendly. I also pick up my dogs prescriptions here.

Generally, I am a big fan of Costco and they typically have outstanding service. The same cannot be said for their pharmacy services. We have been using Costco’s pharmacy for our dog’s insulin. We recieced a text as usual to refill the prescription and receive confirmation it was in process. It was taking a bit longer than usual so I called them only to be informed they no longer carry that medicine as the contract ended. And they have no plans to continue it. Ok that’s a business decision and if that is the case then that is their right to do that. However, no contact was made to us to let us know. This insulin is life saving medicine for our dog and the prescription is time sensitive for being filled. The lack of care and empathy from the pharmacist that handled the call also left a lot

I didn't have a single issue at the Costco pharmacy in Garner. Since moving, the last three months (4 visits), every single visit has been filled with issues and taken up 30-40 minutes of my time. One time they literally got my medication, then my child's and lost my child's then made me wait while they refilled it, then refilled it with a stronger dose then they were supposed to and had to refill it again. Every single time I have to change my address and every single time they assure me it's been changed and every single time it's not. Last time they didn't give me a gel I was supposed to get, that they texted me was ready. I forgot to say something, so this time I said something. I've been a Costco member for years and I absolutely love the store and the staff. I started refilling my scripts with the Costco pharmacy at the advice of my PCP primarily for their competitive prices when combined with GoodRX. Every time I've dealt with anyone in the pharmacy, I'm met with flat out rudeness, attitudes and eye rolls. I do not know why the Costco corporation would hire pharmacy staff that are so anti-customer? They treat individuals like inconveniences instead of valuable paying customers. I'd rather pay a few bucks more somewhere else where I'm consistently treated with basic respect and a good attitude.

My work utilizes Costco mail order pharmacy so I decided to try it. I was headed out of town so asked if I could pick it up in the store. I called Costco pharmacy the day before to schedule and said very specifically said the name and dosage I needed to pick up. When I arrived they did not fill the correct dosage and now it is too late for them to reach my Dr. on a Friday afternoon before I leave. The tech made it seem like it was my fault and was rude. I called mail order right after and they were helpful and will be filling my prescription moving forward.
