Costco Pharmacy

Long time Costco member, but just started using the Pharmacy in 2025. I have been very happy with the Staff! A Pharmacist was especially helpful when I was having trouble getting my insurance to renew a prescription. He helped solve that problem which has been very important. Recently got great service from Peyton with a renewal. He took the time to solve the issue-thanks Peyton! Stacy D was also very friendly and helpful. I look forward to a successful 2026 with my Independence Costco Pharmacy!

went to pick up prescriptions for my mother who is stuck at home with a broken hip. my interaction with Anisa was so awful— between her chastising me, ignoring me, rolling her eyes, tossing the medication at another pharmacist, trying to ring up the incorrect medication, and being upset with me for having to ring up the transaction a second time due to having different insurance, this was extremely negative. the other woman i dealt with, tina, was much more neutral. anisa seemed angry with me and i believe it had something to do with my type of medication i was picking up. terrible interaction.

Been without my medication for 6 weeks and those that answer the phone just can’t tell me when they’ll get a shipment of it. This is poor management! Lenexa got a shipment 2 weeks ago.

My doctor's office suggested that I not use this pharmacy. It's always back and forth when I have prescriptions sent to Costco. I have to go to the Costco Pharmacy in Independence, MO several times before I'm able to actually pick up the prescription. It seems like the prescription is never just ready, it's always a hassle of some kind. Sometimes I'm never able to get the prescription. So finally my doctor recommended that I not use Costco Pharmacy in Independence. That doesn't make me want to renew my Costco membership.

The pharmacy located within the Independence Costco does a great job of taking care of my prescriptions. The techs are courteous and professional. They do their best to move things along without you feeling pushed through the process. The techs or the pharmacist come across as eager to answer any questions I may have about my medications or anything related to the dispensing of the prescription. I think the average turn around time for my particular prescription probably averages under 45 minutes from handing over the script to receiving the medicine. There's been a couple longer waits but these are by far the exception and not the rule. - - - One earlier reviewer who gave a very low rating complained about the pharmacy needing to see ID though she had been in the system for years. These a
