Cosmetic & Family Dentistry of the North Shore

TLDR: Went in for two large fillings. Great experience. Such a wonderful and caring environment. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but here, it feels like you're being welcomed into your Nana's home. The front desk manager is incredibly sweet, the hygenists are extremely through, and the dentist is fast, efficient, and gentle in his approach. The office is set up in what appears to be a converted home near the beach, adding to it's charm.

NOT GENTLE! (Google please let us give zero stars) Dr. Cousins does not deserve the respect or the title doctor. Cousins pulled a tooth that was NOT ready to come out. He struggled to get it out. He then blamed me for being “nervous”! I was scared, not nervous. I received nothing but the shots for anesthetics. He then “prepped” three more teeth for a bridge. If not for the dental assistant stopping him, he would have pulled the three teeth he prepped. The dental assistant also prevented him from grinding my bottom teeth so the temporary bridge would fit. It was so awful that I had to seek EMERGENCY mental healthcare. When I asked for some pain medication, he said, “That license is expired.” It wasn’t expired, but he didn’t know if it was valid. Dr Cousin did a beautiful job with my husband's 2 new crowns. His schedule was able to accommodate him very quickly and he got both crowns completed in 1 day! His dental assistant Anna is excellent, very friendly, experienced and added to the thoroughness & efficiency of the appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Cousin for any dental needs. He's friendly, not at all high pressure when it comes to recommending treatment and encourages your participation in deciding treatment options.

Met Dr. Cousin and his team today . Very impressed. The whole team was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my endodontist failed to send my post root canal images to their office, which they needed ,but Dr. Cousin offered to do the xrays for free . Really nice. Front staff very knowledgeable regarding insurance etc. Excellent care!

Dr. Cousin is a great dentist and a good person, too. I’m happy he’s back in his original Swampscott location. After living away from the area for many years, it’s nice to be back with a dentist I like and trust. I just had a new crown put in, in one visit and am very pleased.
