Had an emergency tooth issue and needed to see Dr. Wu for help, after a simple call to the office an appointment was made within the week. Arrived and got seen promptly and with very nice support. The paperwork was really simple and since they knew me from La Mesa, it was really convenient. Thank you so much‼️

Everything was great at first. The dentist was nice, didn't pressure me to get crowns, and my first root canal experiences were smooth. The receptionist, Monica, told me my insurance would cover x amount and I only owed a copay. I paid my copays and went on my way. 7 months later, they call me telling me that my insurance didn't cover ANYTHING and now I owe over $2,000. After checking the reviews, I'm not the only one this happened to. They never told me that the insurance possibly wouldn't cover my procedure. Had she given me that disclaimer, I would've double checked with my insurance to be sure. Now, I'm being harassed for a debt that I was told I wouldn't have. Disgusting. MONICA should be responsible for it at this point. Not me. They didn't even offer to accept half or anything. They

Reasons for this 1-star review: 1. I felt pressured into getting a night guard that was not right for my teeth. I've since transferred to a different dentist who recommended a lower night guard instead, which is a better fit for my situation. (I was given an upper night guard by Dr. Wu, but a lower one is better for me) 2. I was told my night guard would be covered by my insurance, and then after I got fitted, the receptionist told me that this actually wasn't the case, and I needed to pay over $500 out of pocket. 3. The night guard I received was not well fitted and caused pain. I had to go back into the office to get it adjusted. 4. The appointment to adjust my night guard was made at a different location. Staff did not tell me this when the appointment was made, so I had to drive from C

-Was unsatisfied by one of the procedures I had done here. -Dr. Wu was absent three times I had appointments to see him. 2 of those times I wasn’t informed until I arrived. -Received a bill 14 months after my last appointment for nearly $500. -One of the appointments on the bill was a date when Dr. Wu was absent- I have fought with the billing department and not had any luck.

Dauod, Dr, Wu, Monica and staff are wonderful. Daoud is the best dental hygienist I have ever had- fast, thorough, gentle and easy to talk to. My husband and I actually look forward to going to the dentist for our cleanings lol. Highly recommend!!
