Corning Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

It is open. That's why they receive 1 star. My father was discharged from Guthrie Corning to this Rehab. I transported him. We needed a wheelchair to enter- the one available was missing foot rests. He is currently unable to lift and hold his feet due to severe pain. The receptionist called the Rehab unit and was told she "was on her own." She did find foot rests, but between her, myself, and the janitor, we couldn't get them attached. After about 30 minutes, I just realized I couldn't leave my father there and we left. It may have been a bad day, or a pattern. I don't know.

Went to visit with my mother and was talking with her roommate and they both complained about her being left laying in her own urine for hours. 3 times well I was there she asked for her medicine and finally I went to desk and asked about it and they said her nurse was downstairs, why for over 2 hours I have no idea. She had a doctor's appointment and I was going to take her but they claimed that she didn't, one woman said she did but the other 2 argued with us, so I called her doctor to confirm right in front of them and of course I was right. Needless to say she never made it. Both her and her roommate said if you file a complaint then things get worse, my mother begged me not to file a complaint because she doesn't want things to get worse for her and her roommate. That's really sad and

Horrible place. My grandmother went in and now she cant walk without a walker. They left her in a urine soaked bed and were extremely negligent. She had a UTI that no one treated and had hallucinations. One of the staff members picked her up and threw her onto the bed, knowing she is a 2 person assist. Her legs were swollen, red, and seeping. The staff completely ignored her. They wouldn't let her go home and she was there for 8 months. They kicked her out of physical therapy for not being able to do what they wanted her to do. I'd give zero stars if I could. Absolutely disgraceful

The nurse today was very rude to me. They didn't even know my mom was sick ,and had swelling on the one side of her face and it was red if she would leave i would take her out of there!!!!

The staff is welcoming and helpful. When I arrived loaded down with packages, the front desk worker brought me a cart to use. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
