Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital

On December 22, my wife was in a memory care facility and fell and fractured her hip. She was transported to Corewell Health Beaumont Troy. Surgery was not an option . She was moved to Hospice within the hospital and was there for 9 days. The staff discussed the treatment plan which was to make her comfortable. The doctors, nurses and aids were wonderful. My 3 daughter stayed with her day and night, initially sleeping in the room and I would be there most of the day but go home at night. I and 2 of my daughters live within a few miles of the hospital. The hospital was the primary reason I selected Troy to relocate to in the 80’s when GM transferred me. The doctors, nurses and aids were very professional, thoughtful and compassionate. This hospital has ‘sleep rooms’ in the Hospice

A bit of a wait in the ER but the care I received was second to none. Every Dr., nurse all the way down to the kitchen staff were awesome!! Not a single complaint from me. Everyone was very supportive from my physical health to my mental health. Everyone was very professional with me. As far as hospital stays go this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. I cant remember ever being treated so badly. I got sent to the hospital for high blood pressure and hard heart beats, skipping beats by a doctor at a free clinic because i have no insurance. I get there and they keep me to monitor my heart over night. The nurse was aweful, room was filthy. Giving me medication on a empty stomache, no food or fresh drink. I had to ask for something fresh to drink because the water on my table was from when i got there the day before. Male and female nurses coming in and out loudly all night so I wasnt able to rest. When i told a doctor, he said yeah its crazy here. Finally the next day a cardiologist came to see me, sat down and looked at my chart. Said they brought you in for this? I said am i going to stay on the 2 medications for my heart? He said I dont

My son was just there to have a psych eval. I do have to say the nurse that worked with him was wonderful! however Sean his social worker only sent in a referral to another corewell health behavioral place, Metro behavioral in Dearborn. I even called around to other behavioral hospitals nearby to see if they had availability and they did! and they said they never received any paperwork or referrals for my son. when I called the social worker Sean to request that his paperwork be sent over so that he could be accepted to Henry ford he refused and basically said that he had to go where they've already arranged and doesn't matter what I want he just gave me a phone number to call and make a complaint. Huge thank you to both Nurse Lexis for being so kind and helpful when we came to meet our newborn nephew. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our family was comfortable and well taken care of. You can tell they genuinely care about people. If every nurse were like them, the world would be a better place. We appreciate you both!
