I came to this hospital because I had a severe stomach virus and became extremely sick at a nearby restaurant. I could barely stand or walk and could not keep anything down. I came seeking medical help and left feeling ignored, dismissed, and unsafe. I waited over five hours just to be seen. During that entire time, no blood was taken, no temperature was checked, and no IV fluids were given even though I was clearly very sick and dehydrated. The only thing done was a blood pressure cuff placed on my arm, and no one even told me what my blood pressure was. I was repeatedly taken to the back only to be left waiting for hours again. What made this experience even more upsetting is that I arrived before several other patients, yet I watched white patients being called back ahead of me. As a

I went to the ER because I do not have insurance to cover a regular doctor's visit, and I told the Dr there that 1. I was worried I was pregnant (Of course, I have an IUD, so suspicions of pregnancy with one of those is usually considered an emergency or at least a high level concern) and I had asked that I should get blood work, since with my first child, I never got a positive on a urine test, despite being 6 months pregnant, and they asked me to pee in a cup anyway, and that they'd do the blood work later. After 30 minutes the male doctor comes back in and says my test was negative, but they had never taken blood. My second issue was reaccuring migraines, serious joint and body pain, and irregular periods... The first thing he said was to lose weight, then he says he's gonna prescribe m

Folks. This hospital, doctors and staff. Especially the ER where I went are a great asset to us. I was in crisis and was seen immediately. Admission was a breeze, nurses were super and the covering physicians were no nonsense competent emergency doctors. I was stabilized and transferred to Jackson by ambulance. Thank you all for your care.

I took my other half down there and while I was in the bathroom they called him back when I came out the lady at the front told me he was in that first little room that they take you in and to knock on the door so I did and he and the nurse were in there and she told me to hold on. (Not only did i hear her say this i heard her tell him he couldn't open the door) so then the lady at the front said hold on and I will take you back so I proceeded to stand there for 20 minutes waiting to go back in the back with him even though he had been put in a room about a minute or two after I knocked (he told me this). O, and it wasn't busy at all. The waiting room was completly empty. So least to say is they are extremely rude there and have no respect for the people they are suppose to be taking care

My husband was seen in the ER Monday morning with his first kidney stone. We were seen quickly. Valerie triaged and took him to a room. Justin was a fantastic nurse and was concerned thru the whole process. Dr. White was thorough and pleasant. In and out in 3 hours!! Unheard of for other hospital ERs. That's why we continue to use Copiah County Medical Center!
