My family had a terrible and honestly traumatizing experience at Cooper Hospital following my mother’s surgery. My mother went into surgery as a high-risk patient with severe COPD and multiple health issues. Families trust hospitals to protect medically fragile patients during recovery. That did not happen here. During her stay, she developed pneumonia while under hospital care. She was left sitting in conditions that were unacceptable for any patient, let alone someone recovering from major surgery. There were multiple instances where she was not properly cleaned, and the rooms themselves were visibly disgusting and not maintained to what should be hospital standards. No family should walk into a hospital room and feel like their loved one is being neglected. That is exactly how this f
I’m so upset Cooper University Health Care trying to get in touch with my knee surgeon is like a needle in a haystack. The service is the WORST! When you go in for your appointment, everybody gives you this great customer service conversation that we’re here for you. I’ve been calling for I think five days now several times trying to reach my doctor trying to get my doctor to call me back cause I’m having some troubles with my knee however, I keep getting a runaround. I keep getting these nursing navigators who are absolutely worthless and haven’t done anything. I asked to speak to my doctor. A nurse called me. I asked to speak to my doctor a manager call me. I speak to my doctor. Oh, we’re gonna send him a message and so on so on however have I been called by my doctor nope not once been
Horrible pain treatment a lot of trash on the floors plus only very few nurses are great but tonight on sep 11 of the 2025 the nurses and technicians of the 8th floor have been nothing more then disrespectful and mean. They didn't give the proper attention to the pations due that they rather chit-chat about the pacions while some pations are calling gor any help not to say that they are facetiming while work hours and making pations wait because its more important to criticize their pations they dont let you walk around at night because they feel like it also dont keep bathrooms clean had to call house keepers 3 times but never showed up on great nurse was nice enough to clean the urine mean while other nurses just throw and see trash on the floor thar could be s fall hazards but their ans
From the moment we walked into the ED with our son we were in good hands. My son’s RN Nicole and I believe the man with her was her orientee, went above and beyond to make my son who is afraid of needles/IVs feel comfortable and safe. The child life specialist advocated for us and offered assistance as needed. After this being our fourth ER visit (other places) we were anxious for answers. Dr.Gillman did not brush us off, he took my son’s complaints serious and we felt heard and seen. When we transferred to the pediatric unit our RN Alyssa P was phenomenal. She embodied every single trait a nurse should have. The child life specialists checked in frequently and even the art therapist. The 7th floor pediatric unit staff was all great including the residents and doctors. I would recommend th
If you're unlucky enough to get into the old section of the hospital, be prepared to be uncomfortable. The rooms are so small and there is very little space between the two patients who occupy the room. My husband was in a room with a mental patient. During one visit, six nurses and aides had to restrain his roommate while holding him down. Dealing with the presence of this man was always disruptive. My husband was admitted there in June of last year. While there they lost all of his belongings. Eventually, they found his hearing aids and his Nike sneakers. But all of his clothing and his Sieko watch along with his silver religious medal with chain all went missing. Both jewelry items have great sentimental value. The chain and medal is are especially valued because the chain was given
