Cone Health Moses Cone Hospital

My nephew had a quick procedure yesterday morning at this facility by Dr Bates. First, valet were super helpful and quick. When I say the hospital staff were AMAZING from the moment I walked through the door?!! The ladies at the entrance were very polite and let me know exactly where to go wait as my sister was in the back in Admissions. Although it was full I was able to find seating for three although I arrived 30 min prior without holding seats. During pre-op Sierra CRN was extremely patient and kind with my nephew. I dashed out to grab a recovery gift for him and was able to step in the Recovery area to bring his balloons prior to leaving. Thank you to the transport who helped settle him in his room overnight. To the nurses who looked over him those 12 hours, you are greatly appreciate

No sense of urgency! the nurses just walk back and forth laughing and talking about their lunch breaks and dont even bother to answer any questions the patients have to ask , the ONLY time they call out for a patient to s to get their information for billing which is outrageous how they care more about where they will be collecting the money from than to actually get everyone moving into a room to be seen! My daughter and i Have been waiting in the waiting area for MORE THAN 17 HOURS watching as they all migrate from behind one desk to another acting as if all of the patients aren't even in the same room as them , if you aren't immediately dying or visibly bleeding out they will put you out with the rest of the patients in the lobby to wait till the pain kills you!!! Worst hospital ever ho

Loved one went in to get a bed sore treated. They were in there for five days. I have pictures of her happy and saying she’s getting better and feeling well. Someone was with my loved one every day that she was there. The one night that someone could not be there with my loved one is when she passed away. They wanted to blame it on sepsis, but she wouldn’t have been in the hospital for five days improving and then die with sepsis. They kill people at the hospital and shift the blame they take no accountability. They tried to force fentanyl on my son when he went in for Crohn’s related issues, and when he refused the fentanyl, they called him angry and aggressive. This is a terrible hospital. Every loved one that I have that I went there are scared that they’re not gonna come out alive.

Pickering was a horrible non empathic doctor. Nurses too busy standing around talking about their fiancé’s to pay attention to the person we brought in with severe pain. Had to literally stand outside of the room and find someone that even cared. Doctor misdiagnosed and sent patient home and said if the pain gets worse you can have a cat scan. Really? Had to come back the next day and have the cat scan and had appendectomy.Thanks for DOUBLE charging for same problem Where do we send you the bill? Some of the nurses we have encountered have zero empathy, and ask questions that show that they obviously didn’t read the chart details before coming into the room. I have come to Moses Cone a few times but this time has truly shied me away from this hospital. I came in today at around 1:50 AM, being immediately triaged and given an asthma treatment because I came in with symptoms of a headache, chest and back soreness, shortness of breath, and a cough. While in triage, I was told that they were moving pretty fast in the back and would be seen shortly. I have been to the hospital many times for my asthma so I understand there may be a wait, but it is not 7:06 AM and I still have not been seen. The nurse in the lobby, knows I have the flu after one of the other nurses told me she wasn’t able to tell me whether I had it or not but nobody has come to help. I told them that I was becoming more ill as time passed and the response was, “This is not life or
