[MATERNITY] First and foremost, if you are considering delivering your baby at the Community Medical Center at Toms River, none of the negative reviews here are truly associated with the wonderful maternal and infant services provided by them at the Maternity Facility. I was very skeptical about giving birth there mainly because of the poor reviews that I found online, and I raised this concern to all of my doctors who assured me about the hight quality of care they provide there. I am glad I trusted them. In my opinion, the RWJ Barnabas Community Center Maternity should have a separate set of reviews from the ER or other services because these ones do not do justice to the STELLAR team that took care of me and my newborn on 11/11/2025. I could not be more grateful for the team of Doctor
I had open heart surgery and a heart valve transplant and I was in the ER at Community January 4th 2026, while a patient there i was sexually assaulted. a patient watcher touched my penis 4 times. I have sent USPS mail to patient advocate office, the President of the hospital and the CEO of the hospital and have received no response after waiting a month. While I was a patient there I was also treated with brute extreme force by 6 guards who used all their strength to hold me down and zip tie me to a bed when I attempted to checkout on my own. I asked the ambulance to take me to Deborah where all my records are and the ambulance refused and brought me to Community where I was then abused by its staff and since then they have refused to provide the name of the Doctor and names of individu
Seems I got lucky at this hospitals ER... came in with chest pain/possible afib and was seen pretty quickly. The dr was caring a helpful and ordered tests. The nursing staff was kind as well... then I was moved into the observation section over night and everyone was great there too, the nurses and helpers were attentive and kind and I felt safe. Actually, it was probably one of the best hospital stays I've ever had and believe me i've had plenty.. if I had to give the only negative was that I needed an echocardiogram but they were so backed up that I couldn't have it done there and needed to get it as an out patient. Even though it was out of their control , they were extremely apologetic. Overall It was a very good experience I had in the emergency room department and in the observation
This hospital is a complete joke. The staff here lacks so many basic skills. There is absolutely zero communication between staff, as a patient you can tell a nurse something important & the doctor will tell you the complete opposite. Then if you can’t eat because of getting an MRI or CT scan nobody will communicate that you can’t eat or drink until too late. How as a patient are you supposed to be aware of this when you’re in dire pain and agony? I live in Tom’s River and rather travel to Centra State in Freehold, NJ or RWJ all the way in New Brunswick, NJ. Just absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never felt so enraged and disappointed from a “world class” hospital. All these bad reviews check out, I used to not believe. them but you better believe them. Just disgusting all around. Even the hygie
I have never had to stay in the hospital for an emergency before. I had 0 intentions on going to community medical because of the reviews, but time was of the essence. I am glad I went, I arrived shortly after midnight and from that time until 5am, I had bloodwork done, fluids given, a chest xray, an ekg, and an ultrasound. Soon after I was admitted for gallstones, that apparently has been causing my pain for 5 months and I never knew. I was admitted, had surgery the following day and monitored throughout the night after. Every single nurse was absolutely incredible and kind. Overnight was slightly noisey but thats no fault to the hospital, it was noises coming from other patients. The food wasn't bad either, even got little shaved ice with most meals and they got the good jello. My view o
