Community Medical Center - NICU

Our experience in the NICU was deeply distressing and left us feeling intimidated rather than supported as parents. Despite our baby being stable, we were repeatedly told she could not be discharged, yet clear medical justification was not consistently explained. When we asked questions, the reasons seemed to change, which made it difficult to understand what was truly necessary for her care. When we requested a second opinion, we were refused. We were also told that CPS could be contacted if we attempted to leave, which felt coercive and frightening rather than collaborative or family-centered.
