Communication Cottage Therapy

From the front desk to the Communucation Therapist, the whole staff made our daughter feel welcomed from day 1. Miss Julia and her staff helped her grow and develop. With their support, our daughter was able to transition out of the program and can now articulate herself at her age-appropriate level. We will always appreciate their involvement in our family.

We had the pleasure of working with Margaret and I couldn't be more impressed with the results. From the very first session, she created a welcoming and supportive environment, which made me feel comfortable and confident in the therapy process. Her expertise is evident in the personalized strategies and exercises she provides, which were tailored to my child's specific needs. Over time, I've noticed significant improvements in my child's communication skills. I would recommend Destiny as a therapist to any child. She consistently brings loving, high energy to each session. Where I run out of ideas, she has another one ready to apply. She’s not afraid to be creative and put in extra effort. She has even learned some Spanish to speak to my daughter since that is her preferred language. She has proven herself to be quite capable!

We’ve been having our 9 month old daughter see Destiny for the last two months and it has been absolutely life changing for our situation. Our daughter struggles with feeding difficulties and though we have had issues figuring out ways to help it elsewhere Destiny has provided many different exercises, techniques, and products that have made a significant difference in how our feeding sessions go. She is also very validating and understanding whenever we have questions or concerns. I’m so thankful for her and the rest of the communication cottage team. They genuinely care about the wellbeing of children.

I can not say enough wonderful things about my experience for OT with communication cottage. After my son’s evaluation (with a therapist that is no longer there sadly) I felt I understood my son a little bit better because I always had concerns and she helped me understand his quirks and needs. But the real reason for the FIVE stars is Ms. Destiny, who has helped my son go from not eating and having issues chewing and swallowing to using his tongue like a champ and eating meats and other foods that he wouldn’t touch before hand in less than 3 months. My son looks forward to his appointments and she has built a level of trust and fun with her exercises for his oral development (he has ties and low muscle tone). I am so happy that she is his therapist and look forward to even more progress
